Hamburg, 4. December 2019 – Increasing momentum and the higher competitive pressure associated with it impose greater demands on the logistics of companies that need individually customised solutions. As a result of its many years of experience and expertise gained from numerous intralogistics projects in all sectors – whether for global players or for small and medium-sized companies – STILL GmbH in Hamburg is among the market’s leading suppliers. The company is showing intelligent global solutions from its wide product portfolio in Hall 10, Stand B41 at the LogiMAT 2020 trade fair.
An E-truck with a V-truck’s performance characteristics
The new RX 60, presented to the general public for the first time in Stuttgart, will be one of the highlights. With tremendous acceleration, a driving speed of up to 21 km/h and improved lifting speeds, the RX 60 has set new standards in the 2.5 to 3.5-ton weight class. In independent tests, due to its outstanding dynamics, this new E-truck achieved the highest transport and goods handling performance in its class, together with the greatest range on a single battery charge. The overall driving performances of the RX 60 are at the same level as those of a diesel or fuel gas truck. Thus STILL has the right truck to match the growing demand for emission-free E-trucks and sustainable logistics solutions.
For efficient, fatigue-free, safe ergonomic work in every situation, STILL offers a variety of driver assistance systems and functions that visitors to the trade fair can also test in live trials. They include the Pre-Shift Check, a safety inspection of the truck before work starts, in which a dialogue in the display supports the driver during the daily check of the truck. Use of this system increases occupational safety and replaces inefficient paper lists.
STILL’s smarter path to automated intralogistics
In project business, STILL configures intelligent intralogistics solutions that match the company, grow flexibly with the business and are able to master current and future challenges. Currently there is a big demand for partly and fully-automated materials flow solutions. As a result of its expertise and strong worldwide service network, STILL is a competent partner for a wide variety of automation projects at every required level of automation. At the LogiMAT 2020 trade fair, under the motto “We drive automated vehicles”, STILL presents numerous options to automate series-production trucks. In a live demonstration STILL presents a variety of automated trucks in teamwork with one another, and the interaction of trucks with humans – including the 2019 IFOY Winner: the automated LTX 50 tugger train.
STILL launched the first autonomously driving order picker in 2016: the iGo neo CX 20. This IFOY prizewinning truck follows the order picker through the warehouse, and can also be steered manually at any time. At the LogiMAT 2020 trade fair, the Hamburg company is presenting the further development based on the new OPX model series, which not only provides a larger selection of trucks but also brings with it a series of new technologies for improved steering and maximum availability.
